Visit Philly for a sight of Liberty

Philadelphia is steeped in the history of the American Independence and is one of the favourite destinations for Charter Bus Philadelphia to share with visitors. One of the most iconic sights one must see while in ‘The Brotherly City’ as it is also known, is the of the iconic symbols of American Independence – The Liberty Bell, housed at the Liberty Bell Centre on Market Street.
Originally hung in the steeple of the Pennsylvania State House (Independence Hall) the bell was commissioned in 1752 from the London firm of Lester and Pack, it was cast with the lettering "Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof."
The bell is believed to have cracked when first rung after arrival in Philadelphia and became widely famous after an 1847 short story told of an aged bell-ringer who upon hearing the Second Conventional Congress’s vote for independence on July 4, 1776 rang it.
Another place that must be visited in a charter bus, party bus, coach bus, shuttle bus or mini bus if you’re on the trail of finding out more about Liberty the American Independence is Independence Hall.
Located on a block at Chestnut Street between 5th and 6th streets sits a Georgian style building with a tall wooden steeple that is one of the most important landmarks in United States. It is an absolutely must for tourists in charter bus, party bus or mini bus since there is no worrying about driving and parking. It was here that the Declaration of Independence was signed in July 4, 1776.
The American flag was first unveiled here in 1777. In 1781, the Articles of Confederation uniting all thirteen British colonies were ratified here, and the US Constitution was drafted in this building in 1787.
State some independence in your mode of travel and take a ride with Charter Bus Philadelphia for a trip down memory lane that will let you see landmarks and legends of America and how the United States gained independence.
