Be There For Philadelphia's Thanksgiving Parade

Do you want to see a really old and yet very realistic side to the locals here in Philly? Let's try having some fun at the country's oldest and most traditional Thanksgiving Parade and this year, it is happening fresh and early in the morning of November 22, 2012 and ends approximately around noon. This Philadelphia Thanksgiving parade started back in the early 1920s and has been happening every single year since then; it is one of the biggest tourist magnet in history around this area and we reckon that you might want to have yourself a piece of the fun pie if you are already here in Philadelphia in a charter bus, party bus, coach charter, or having a field trip with the kids in a school bus.
Since it is around this time that we feel the holiday season creeping up on us, Santa will also usually make a grand appearance during the parade. There will be fun floats and enormous, colorful balloons all over the streets and local performers will chip in and do their parts to cheer on the people. This year, the organizers promises that there will more fun and a bigger treat than ever before.
It is always such an amazingly beautiful sight, so grab your camera and snap away; don't forget to get the little ones to spot their favorite balloons like, The Lorax, Snowman, T-Rex, Scooby Doo, Elmo, and Cookie Monster. There will be a special unique Thanksgiving float which has been specifically designed just for the year's Thanksgiving Parade, keep an eye out for the spectacular creation.
Well-meaning entertainers are roped in to make the parade louder and merrier and word is out that American Idol finalist, Justin Guarini is going to chip in, Rita Coolidge will also be lending the parade her voice and All-4-One is going to croon to the crowd too.
If you own a smartphone, make use of the interactive map on the official website and you won't get lost but for those who are not familiar with the tech world, worry not, you can start off around 20th Street and JFK Boulevard and follow the crowd from there. Have fun and snap loads of pictures!
